Integrating the Call Tool with Flowforge: A Step-by-Step Guide

Flowforge's AI agents seamlessly integrate with the Call Tool, providing two primary functions:

  • Forward the Call: Forward the call to speak with someone.
  • Disconnect the Call: Disconnect or hang up the call.

Prerequisites

  • Flowforge account with admin access
  • Active phone service provider account compatible with Flowforge

Setting Up Call Tool

To set up the Call Tool, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Tools section under AI Agents from the sidebar and click on the Set Up button under Call Tool to begin the integration process.
  2. The Setup Your Tool dialog box appears. Click on Start New to initiate the configuration.
  3. Enter a suitable name for the integration and click Create.
  4. Next, select the function for the integration (e.g., forward the call or disconnect the call). Click Save.
  5. If you select Forward the Call function, you also need to provide the call forwarding number in the next step. Click Finish.

Linking the Tool to Your AI Assistant

To link the Call Tool to your AI Assistant, follow these steps:

  1. Go to AI Agents > Assistants. If you haven’t created an Assistant yet, click on the Add an Assistant button.
  2. In the Add an Assistant dialog box, enter a name for your Assistant along with other details. Write a comprehensive prompt and mention connecting to the Call Tool within the prompt. Click Save & Exit.
  3. Once you have created the Assistant, click on the Edit button from the Operations tab.
  4. In the Update Tool dialog box, click on Connect Tools and select Call Tool from the dropdown menu.
  5. Select the Tool Configuration (i.e., the name you entered in Step 3).
