Creating a Custom Tool
To create a custom tool, follow these steps:
- Go to Tools on the Flowforge dashboard. Click on Add a Custom Tool.
- In the Add Tool dialog box, input all the requested details:
- Name: Enter a suitable name for your custom tool.
- Base URL: This is the fixed part of the external API URL you want to use.
- Description: Write a brief description of what your custom tool does and its intended use.
- Click on Add.
- Find your created custom tool on the dashboard and click the Edit Tool icon on the top right corner.
- Now you will see the Functions button appear in the Add Tool dialog box. Click on it to create functions for your custom tool.
- Click on the Create Tool Function button in the Tools Function dialog box.
- In the Create Tool Function, input the required details:
- Endpoint: Enter the endpoint URL that the function will call.
- Content Type: Specify the content type for the data being sent or received.
- Function Name & Description: Provide a name and a brief description for the function to clarify its purpose.
- Properties:
- Type: Select the type of property (e.g., string, integer).
- Name: Provide a name for the property.
- Description: Write a brief description of what the property represents.
- Click on Create.
Setting Up the Tool
To set up the tool, follow these steps:
- To set up the tool, click on the Setup button on the created tool.
- The Setup Your Tool dialog box appears. Click on Start New to initiate the configuration.
- Enter a suitable name for the integration and click on Create.
- Next, select the function for the integration that you created in Step 6 (e.g., Get a single product). Click on Save.
